Luke Puskedra appreciative of all the support

 

On February 13 in Los Angeles, Luke Puskedra finished one place—72 seconds away—from competing in the marathon at the 2016 Olympic Games. During the hours afterward, he was sure that his mood couldn’t sink any lower.

“I thought, ‘I don’t know what else could go wrong. This is tough,’” Puskedra said. “It’s kind of funny thinking about that now. That was the low. And then your expectations just change so much.”

What they soon discovered was more sobering and worrisome than they could have ever imagined.
